Gamma levels

I am shooting a short film and editing with Final Cut Pro 6 and was wondering if anyone can suggest ways to change the gamma levels to emulate 16mm film stock? I am looking for my footage to have similar gamma levels to film emulsion if thats at all possible. Thanks!

That's a pretty broad question- what's the gamma of 16mm to you? Probably different from what I picture. I'd just go for a look in color correction or get a plugin specifically set to emulate a film look like Magic Bullet or Nattress.com G-Film and take it from there.

Gamma is "mid tone" levels ...and not really a look.
Shadows/Highlights are as described
Chroma is Color /Hue

Kodachrome "look" is something you are going to have to emulate to how your eye perceives it from all the above.

Noahks suggestions are a good start.
