Has anyone tried editing with the files exported from Toast? I can convert my 24p AVCHD files to 24p Quicktime files. They play very well in Quicktime but with some strobbing, which I believe can be fixed by playing with the shutter or using the 24p and TV mode. But either way, I get a great Quicktime file. Can this file be used for decent quality editing in FCP or FCE? If so I can have my friend convert all my files to Quicktime and edit them on a G5. This would save me some money hardware-wise just so I can get this production off the ground. My friend uses a G5 and a black Macbook and have no problems editing, but I don't know if this is his workflow as we just started talking about this.

That's what I thought. I just pulled these into iMovie HD (the old one) and they worked like a charm.
