Hi all
So I've been browsing my way through this section for the last hour or so. Seems like about every third post I think "hey...the Open TV Project might fit this person's question...I should make a reply..." But I didn't -
Instead I'll throw this up as its own topic and hope that it fits what some of you might be looking for in terms of a way to monetize downloadable media or find some form of media that you can sell besides DVDs.
The Open TV Project is at http://www.opentvnetwork.com. It is like iTunes but without Apple being involved and with a way to collect payment (Klicktab). Phillip Hodgetts started it up. I do believe he is a long term fixture out in Hwood and area.
I've got no connection with him, other than liking his idea, once I happened to stumble across it.
As with so many other pieces of entertainment though, DISCOVERY remains the sticking point. How to get x thousands of people to actually find and then buy your bits is still the HOLY GRAIL for indie media makers.
thx
Jeff
