FYI DVXusers: Thank you & time is running out!

cool!

yours was the first sale of your "kind" so i was just curious how long it would take, sounds like it went smoothly. thanks!

The APO mail is weird. It usually takes 2 weeks or so for packages to reach me. But lately...no idea why...they've been coming lickety split. Barry has you beat, though. Something from him only took 3 days. :)

Then again, I'm still waiting for my MUMPS CD from Amazon. Since 2002.

(Well, actually, they sent another copy when I asked about it...but somewhere "out there" is Lance Loud singing in the Ozone.)

I'm not, seriously, I'm really not trying to beat a dead horse here, but this weekend I ended up watching 'Hunting Camp' twice with two different people. I still believe that this film shows a few things brilliantly:
1. What the DVX is capable of producing under the control of a good filmmaker
2. How an excellent story that is well acted can overcome the constraints of budget, shooting schedule, and technology availability
3. What is possible for someone to create when he has the tenacity and determination to make a great film
4. and most importantly: the best motivation for sitting down, improving current scripts, and getting ready to move forward with personal projects.

Everyone I have shown the film to have been impressed and really enjoyed it, even the ones who just love to hate everything they see.

Kudos man, I continue to be more and more impressed everytime I watch (by the way: extras are really good and the easter eggs, also top quality).

Show it to every person you know! Thanks for checking out the extras!

Oh. But my wife wants subtitles (the Hearing-Impaired English kind, not the Here-It-Is-In-Esperanto kind). :)

Subtitles. Check. I haven't attempted these yet but I will give it a shot next movie...send my apologies to your wife.

Nah...she needs to listen, rather than read and listen. She's got the TOEFL test coming up, and that's one of the sections: listening to someone speak and writing down your take on it.

A band from a few years back, contemporary with Blondie, and so forth.

Lance Loud was in the PBS series "An American Family" from 1973. Putatively, the first "reality" television show, and a warning to all who ever considered having a film crew into their home.

hey john, just curious and not sure if you mentioned this yet but what program did you use for the DVD set up?
I used Adobe Encore. It's not the most advanced program but it works for the design level I am at. I did both the Hunting Camp and BOGO disc menus in Encore. What do you guys use?

to answer your question, I guess when I have something to put on a DVD besides a 5 minute short that you can already get with 50 other Zombie movies :)
