OK. I know that you can affect the look of your footage either by applying an effect on the timeline or the actual track which would apply to all clips inside that track, but... I realized that if you apply a brightness or flash effect onto the whole track where everything is blown out dramatically even if for a second then if you have 16:9 or 2:35:1 cropping the inside will bleed to the outside borders. Is this normal? I mean it's a certain advantage to be able to apply an effect to all clips at once with only minor tweaks here and there to keep it simple. However, I had been going nuts trying to figure out why this was happening to me. Did anyone else catch that too? I guess there was a valuable question there somewhere.

Edit: There is something fishy here. It doesn't happen consistently. i.e. I put a clip onto the timeline and drop to 2:35:1 then add color correction 2 to the whole track. Then I take the palette and move the middle circle all the way to a very deep harsh blue and it bleeds. If after that, however, I alter the gain next to it it goes away. What the heck is going on? Am I overthinking this too much?
