FX Builder?

I've heard of it. People use it for muzzle flashes a lot, but they say you can spot a muzzle flash from fxbuilder because they all look the same. Don't know if that's right or not though.
 
I've heard of it as well but never tried it. Better than nothing but you would be much better off with AE or maybe even motion(I hear the newest motion is nice)? I've never used motion so I have no idea the capabillities of it. Like tommyinla said this program tends to have a "preset look". I believe you can download the trial program and give it a test drive.
 
That's a nice software, but there is nothing special, and almost any fx from FXhome presets, u could do in AE or similar software. When u need some fx fast, than it might be your choice, but AE or Combustion gives you more flexibility.
 
I have the newest version of Motion, just thought that this would be a little easier. I haven't tried creating a muzzle flash in Motion.
