Fuzzy little criters: K-Tek vs Rykote

I am trying to get my wife more interested in doing video with me as a serious hobby - profession. Today, I show her a picture of a softie and she says she is going to call the spca on me....she was just kidding I think.

I intend to buy some improved wind protection for a short shotgun and a Oktava. Could anyone of you give me opinions about the K-tek Zepplin on the pole mount? This seems like a pretty good solution; shock mount, zepplin, and pistol grip all rolled into one. Could the same unit work with an Oktava also or would I need a seperate mount, BBG and softie for the Oktava.

Thanks in advance for your info and opinions

agree with oleg - dont buy rycote, they rip us all off just because they have the monopoly - buy k-tek just because they are ethical! (but their products also really rock)...

Oleg is also right about the foam - I use my Oktava with only foam on a daily basis indoors - no hassles. The extension barrel would also work (i've never actually thought of that, nice oleg - will give it a try sometime)
