Not unless your movie is in the top 50-100 biggest with a major distribution deal but yea, what a great way to hedge a release (they don't give you any money but you can short your movie to offset a potential loss).

I'm not sure how they are going to control insider trading, it's almost to good to be true.

No I meant as a user.


When you join the Hollywood Stock Exchange, you get 2 000 000 fake hollywood bucks to trade with. If they're gonna do it for real, they should give each user 2 000 000 real bucks to trade with.
Seems logical, no?

Ahhh, yes... It's hard to tell in hollywood what is real or fake. My bad :)
