I didnt make it that far.

I baled when he was yanking nose hair.

As a premise for friends screwing around and trying not to get kicked out of a REAL library.... funny. A setup thing... not so funny. Just my take.

what kind of camera do you have?

Let me ask you guys something. Which would you buy?

a) dvx100b

b) hvx200

c) canon A1

seriously, i myself like the dvx and hvx but lately all i've seen is the big buzz with the A1. The last time this "buzz" happenend was the xl2 which i purchased right when it came out and i regreted it. Should of listened to John Hudson!

A TRV-70 sony handycam and a Arriflex 16S 16mm film camera.

I would buy an SR2... Oh! It's not on that list, I'm sorry. Well, then I'd probably buy the canon A1.

I don't know, I don't even know all the specs on the A1. I would probably go with the HVX then.

All I have is a test pic to put up from test footage. I haven't compressed the video yet.

Robert, what would you figure the total cost of a 30 minute short in 16mm would be and i mean everything from start to finish?

Well. assuming you already have your camera or rental figured in(and the cost for a rental depends on the camera) a 30min short should cost around $2,000. The cost to process and telecine one roll of film(100ft) is $100, where I go. I do my lab work at FilmWorks FX in Santa Monica. Good people. The cost of 15 daylight spools(100ft) of film is approximately $400. I get my stock at the DR Group, good people. Shoot double perf if you can, it's cheaper although you'll only get an regular 16 image. Each 100footer of film gives you 2:47 minutes of shooting time. So, $2000, it shouldn't be any more than that. But it's worth it due to all the advantages of film.
