Funny DVX stories

Re: Funny DVX stories

lol. i dont remember if was really rolling tape or not. he was trying not to laugh, and i had to try and secretly point out to him that at one point he had the camera aimed off into the sky somewhere because he wasnt even paying attention to what he was doing with it. woulve been pretty funny if he was rolling though. ..i stopped when a couple elderly people walking there looked like they were going to have heart attacks. and then i felt bad.

horse make sure your actually rolling!! now i need to check because i think we were, cause i remember something about it during editing but it may have been right after i stopped and the people were still standing around a little ..so i turned the camera right on them and scared them all off so we could get the shots. lol

Re: Funny DVX stories

So my story is:

It was a very cold morning. Canon troops were still 20 feet from our camp so we were really scared. Tom said I should try to stay calm but I knew that we had no chances. I looked through my viewfinder and saw an officer pointing his xl2 in my friends head. I tried to correct white balance but there was nothing I could do... I had no white sheet of paper... Then all suddenly became very drastic... my iris closed and I couldnt see anything! I run towards the black hole! Then out of the blue the iris opened itself and I saw canon general pointing his xl2 at me!
- You! - I said
- Me?! - he answered
Ha! I knew what he meant! I put my finger slowly on the rec button and pushed it. The general wasn't so stupid! He was recording too! Then after 1h our tapes finished... The fight wasn't over of course! I changed my tape quickly and set up a new gamma!
- You've got nothing! - he said
- Maybe my gamma isn't as powerfull as yours but I at least I'm 24p! ha ha! - I answered
- Oh no! - he said
- Oh yes! - I answered
- But I'm also 24p - he suprised me!
- Oh no! - I said
- Oh yes! - he answered
- What are we going to do? - asked
- We may become friends - he said
- Oh no! - I said
- Oh yes - he answered

-Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. - said Rick...

That's it! That's my story...
//FYI: I don't own either dvx100a nor xl2 :)

Re: Funny DVX stories

A long time ago (2003 actually) I was deciding against the DVX and the XL1s. I chose the DVX. Pretty funny to think I almost screwed up.
