Anybody worked with these before?

I'm trying to figure out if 1)The Glass comes out of that frame and 2) if the glass is the right size to fit in my Chrosziel 3x3 filterholders. It says the frame is 3x5 and the filters are 2 1/4"x2 1/4 but maybe the Chrosziel measurement is the same (3x3 frame, 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 filter)? Can anyone help? Thanks.

Those are intended for usenwith the Lindhal filter holders.
I also have a 3x3 matte box (Arri) and I'm curious to find out whether they fit.
As they sell cheap on eBay, I think I'll buy one and have a try.

I got my filter today from eBay.

First, I checked wether the filter could fit my 3x3 arri mattebox without removing the plastic frame. No luck. The frame was the right width but a bit too thick (0.6 cm) to match the filter slot. That may be used with other matte boxes though.

Then I removed the plastic frame (it consists of two plastic valves press fitted together, it took just a few seconds) to find out that the actual filter is slightly smaller than 3" inches and doesn't fit the filter holder of my matte box (it would just drop off). I don't think it would fit any other 3x3 filter holder besides Lindahl.

Hope it helps. I'm going to relist the item. :-(

Wow, you actually followed through! Thanks Lutnik, for takin the plunge. Hope you get your money back. If it doesn't sell, any way you could shave the plastic so it fits in your filterholder. Or pile up layers of gaff tape on the edges so it fits in your holder? Yeah, you may have to zoom in a bit to use it, but it wouldn't be a total loss.

As you have found out, standard 3x3 filters are actually 3 inches square (actually just a hair less) and the holders are larger.

3x3 's are not very popular anymore and Schneider is trying to reduce its inventory of overstocks.
