FullTilt Poker seized by FBI, whoa!

Dang, looks like they got all the big sites. This is huge, I'm suprised how quiet the interwebs are on this.

lol

Man, I play on UB all the time (subsid of Absolute). Ah well, just more playing live I guess.

But man -- Pokerstars has like three television shows. Fulltilt sponsors Poker After Dark. Without the sites these shows are gone.

This irks me. I don't play money on Full Tilt but I do like to play there. Seems to me there are a lot more things the feds could focus on. Bunch of jack wagons.

Agreed. But I think there could be a light at the end of the tunnel to all this. Some senators (including Reid) for a while now have been trying to get online poker legalized, but part of that legislation included this type of action (e.g. companies that were knowningly breaking the law prior to the new legislation would not be allowed to participate). I still think that poker has a chance of someday being viewed as a reputable sport. I make quite a bit of money every month playing in tournaments both online and off, and while losing the convenience of online is a ball buster, if it at all helps moving forward the legalization, taxing and government monitoring of online poker, I am 100% with it.

Also apparently this is confined just to the US, but, I mean, if you take down all the head honchos and charge these companies a collective 3 billion dollars...lol I don't think they'll be able to survive that kind of damage.
