Full screen looks like garbarge

how come when i shoot something it looks great in the vegas "auto preview" mode and when I export it and its maybe 1/2 of my screen or larger on my monitor it just looks like crap? The settings I export are BEST and when i watch my video in AVI or WMV or NTSC DV full screen it looks horrible...can somebody explain this to me?

well someone explain this to me...this may solve the problem...

If the DVX records @ 720x480 pixels into your editor (is this the largest size to import?) and I play it at anything greater than this like "full screen" is this why its distorting? How can an image play back (for example on DVD's full screen) at full screen and look super clean if its shot at 720x480??

That and what is your monitor resolution set at?

What are your computer specs?

Also, check to see if there is a preview quality setting.

When you are watching your WMV or AVI, which program are you viewing it through, Windows Media Player or are you using Vegas?

When making WMV files, they have several settings. Check that also.

2.2 AMd Athlon XP w/512 RAm

im using windows media player.

That looks fine. I would want more RAM, but that wouldn't have anything to with picture quality. I have used the Vegas Demo but I can't remember about the details.

I use Pinnacle Liquid and there is about 20 WMV settings. I have never had any display problems concerning quality. I wish I could help more.

When you guys output to DVD, how does it look on TV?

Try making it a WMV at broadband quality, the watch it in windows media player.

Again, I would post in the Vegas forum as many guys hang out there and could give more detail.
