Hey everyone. I have been reading this board for a while, but mostly just hang out in the background and read and learn as much as possible. I figured I had nothing of merit to add, so just normally don't post.
Tonight though I sat down and watched 'Full Frontal', and at this point I feel like I need to say something.
Having personally worked with the XL1 as well as now being a proud owner of a DVX100a, I am almost insulted by this film. MiniDV has so much more potential than what is shown in this film, and I almost think that it's a step back for the entire movement of promoting DV productions.
Maybe Soderbergh wanted to present himself as an independent thinking Hollywood person, but personally the cinematography isn't good, and with the exception of some close ups, the picture isn't good.
I wasn't impressed, and just wanted to find out what other people thought.
