FS7: Has anyone had it up flying with any kind of drone?

As the title says... has any of you tried flying the FS7? I keep running into suggestions that the FS7 is too long for gimbal flying?

So I was wondering if any you has managed to fly an FS7 with fx. the 18-110 or other lens.

Cheers

If you can put it on a gimbal (and the FS7 is fine on a bigger gimbal like the Ronin or bigger Movi) you can put it in the air.

I've seen an FS7 flown on a Freefly Alta 8.

Here's a vid of a similar setup to what I've seen flown: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO9nxx3snZA (not in English, but you can see how it works).

Cheers... damn expensive these systems, another guy replied to me on the same question. I think it was on a Vimeo post. He said that after the arrival of the Inspire 2 with dng and prores licens, that they weren't flying the FS7 that much anymore. Too expensive compared to results.

Yeah. My X5R gets similar results that mix well with the big boy terrestrial cameras, so I've been out of the heavy-lifter world since I got that I1 and X5R.

I can't see flying a camera that big unless you are flying something that is going to dust whatever the integrated cameras can do. I worked on this past season of Prison Break that just aired. We shot in Morocco, in the Sahara and they had an Arri Alexa Mini on an octocopter drone with some pros from Finalnd flying it. That would be worth it. But even the shots from the Cloakroom Media test of the C200, they flew the C200 on a drone and to me, the drone shots didn't look a LOT better than what a Phantom 4 Pro could do. For drones, aren't you usually just using it for an occasional establishing shot? Personally, I would stick with integrated cameras unless you are flying an Arri or RED. Heck, even my Mavic Pro with it's way too skimpy for 4K 60Mbps codec looks pretty nice if I apply an anti-flicker filter and some special presets from Neat Video made for the Mavic Pro camera. The DJI cameras, if you treat them and expose them right, can look spectacular. Flying a camera like the FS-7 takes a big, bulky, noisy drone with a pilot and camera op. A lot of effort and expense.
