FS100/ Other solutions?

Im a bit out of touch as I have been overseas for several months. Anyone know of any deals going on the FS100? I see other members talking about other P2 hardware (not panasonic). Where do these exist?

Also is anyone using the FS100 on a belt mount w/ glidecam 4000? wondering how that is working...if it is working???
 
To be honest, I've used the FS-100 in 3 different documentaries, and the first two I was kind of iffy on it. It worked and I never got any complaints, but I didn't feel all that comfortable with it. However, after my last shoot, traveling internationally & shooting solely to it, I feel a lot better about it. I had it attached to my belt in light rain, on windy beaches and even in the middle of a protest being broken up by police and it never dropped a frame. The only downside was it had some issue where I couldn't reliably control it with the camera's record button (but if you use the record button on the FS itself it works fine every time). I lost one shot, some B-roll, due to that (my own fault) but otherwise everything came out.

It's not idiot-proof, you have to know what you're doing, but it held up just fine on a pretty rough shoot.
 
Thanks for the feedback, what accessories are considered necessary for the FS100, presumably additional battery, mounts etc???

Particularly interested to know if there is any mount that would be used to mount it directly to the glidecam as a counterweight (remove the provided counterweights).....anyone???
