Fs100, Fs 4, Fs 4 Hd

FS100 supports DVCPRO HD. I'm not sure about the others, but my guess would be: FS 4 PRO supports mini DV, and FS 4 HD supports HDV.

I have a FS 100 and for some reason it's not recording. I followed the manuel's directions and the FS-100 and P2 Workflow for HVX200 and this doesn't seem to work. The timer runs on t:huh:      he FS when I hit recorded. Also both manuel and workflow suggests TC EXT in my setup menu. I can't find this option.

Do you have the right FS-100 model for your camera? The FS-100 is not format agnostic, you need an NTSC model or PAL model to match your camera.

You can also not record to the FS-100 if the HVX200 is set to any of the native recording modes.

I have been trying to get my FS100 HD Pro to work for 3 days with the HVX200 in the HD DVCPRO mode I set all the settings to the tapeless format and then I remembered the setting about the USB and 1394 setting. Viola ...I got HD DVC Pro 1080 capture to the FS100 HD Pro .Go to camera menu and other function , set to1394 Fire wire not USB mode........
Life is good.

We ordered a NTSC. How can you tell?

Turn it over, at the base of it's belly, there's a little thing there. It if sticks out then it's NTSC, if it sticks inwards it's PAL.

Just kidding...

In the Setup menu scroll down to the version number, then hit the right navigation arrow key, it'll show the full version number and format.

It's strange I come into work and it's working. I am not sure why it is. Maybe I just need to shut things down for the night. Or maybe FS-100 suave elfs came and fixed it, like the shoe maker.
Thank you everyone
