FS100 field backup?

If you're shooting with a FS-100 on a remote location is there a way you can transfer the files to a firewire drive to allow you to start new on the FX-100? Would you need a laptop or any editing software to do this? Is there any way to go directly from the FS to a hard drive?

Hi,

You will need to connect the FS-100 (in HDD mode) to a laptop together with the FireWire (or other) backup drive you wish to use. Also, if you are using the same FireWire bus, the copy process can be quite slow. So if you can, maybe consider a USB2 drive. Don't forget to do an Organize P2 first.
