MiG 29 would be better. MiG-21 is early 60s...more than a match for a F-4 Phantom though.
 
Now that would make a great camera mount. Then I could say: Tripod (up to 10'), shoulder mount, steadi, and Mig 21 mount.

So you want a fly-over shot for your indie production? Give Doc a call. He's got the new Red Mig 21 Mount.
 
Haha, that is awesome. Except that cockpit gives me a headache just looking at it... Let alone sitting in there. I've grown up with airplanes since my Dad is a pilot, but I couldn't imagine sitting in that cyan/teal cockpit with the 1000's of guages surrounding me for more than 30 seconds lol. Good find though! (May I ask what your were looking for when you found it? :huh:)

In a dogfight, the MiG has the advantage...if the F-4 gets off a missile shot at-range the MiG is probably toast...

I'd hold out for at least a mid- or late-production MiG-29, too.

Of course, if only we wait long enough, old-block Su-27s might start coming to market...
 
The F4Us and F4AUs were insane performers, for their time (the Navy was initially afraid to fly them off carriers, and left them to the embarked Marine squadrons...)
 
She's a nice plane. I'd like to know when her last C and A checks were done...


Besides that, i'd jump for it! Now just to get my jet certification.... :D
 
Damn straight! Ya never know when DVinfo might launch an attack and I don't like the way 2-pop's been looking at us.
