FS-4 Fan Noise how to replace

Hello
I am sure there is a post here on this subject, but after an hour of searching I can not find one so sorry if I am being redundant.

I have a FS-4 Pro and the Fan is too loud.
I have contacted Firestore and they told me that it would be a $240 charge to replace,
as the $240 is the flat fee for any service out of warranty.

I would be very surprised if this was a difficult problem to fix myself.

has anyone done this, or know of the type of fan (and a vendor possibly) that would be
needed.

if there is a how to somewhere on here or on another site that answers my questions,
I link would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

The fan will be a standard size axial fan, probably a 40mm.

The next thing you need to know is the voltate the old fan runs on. its probably on the fan itself but with a bit of luck it will be 5, 12 or 24v. Its not going to be 24v and im pretty sure it wont be 12 so id guess its probably 5v but check anyway.

Then you would just crack the case open, change the fan and solder the cables over, just make sure it blows in the same direction as the old one did....

make sure to check the CFM's cubic feet per minute
the design of the blades will give different results...
then again they tent to lie a lot.... so just in case I'd get the most expensive... it won't go past $5 anyway
