FS-100 Transfer Time?

Hi,
Just a simple question...will transferring an FS-100 100GB drive (full) take 100min to transfer over FW400 to a computer?
I was hoping it would be quicker...but can someone confirm the (approx) 1 min per GB to tranfer from the firestore over Firewire 400?

My full FS100 takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to transfer. I'm hoping the new G5 quad I'm soon to order may speed that up but I'm not counting on it.

From Focus Enhancements FS-100 FAQ:

Transfer speed is dependant on many things, including the PC Type (PC or Mac), the length of actual clip, and various other issues. But a general rule of thumb is that the transfer time will be between 2X and 4X faster than the real time of the recorded file. So for example, a 1 hour file would take from about 15 to 30 minutes to transfer.

This is news to me...the above information (from Focus) is confusing. I have always known it to be (around) 1Min per GB...

Hi Brian,

I just did a test with an FS-100 on a G5 and was able to transfer 1GB in 29 seconds. This was simply copying to the internal serial ATA drive. The machine was a Dual 1.8Ghz G5 with 2GB of DDR SDRAM. Were you copying to another FireWire drive on the same bus?
