monster vs. robot

Hey All,
I'm so frustrated I can't even think straight. I have had a problem getting timecode from my HVX 200 to my FS-100. I mean I've talked to everyone. Panasonic reps, at least 3 Focus support people. The last guy told me it isn't even possible. He gave me the TC REC RUN way through setting TC in the FS-100. I'm thinking I'm an idiot and I go back to the manual and in version 4.0 it says this:
Recording Timecode in the File
Select EXT TC in the Setup menu. This option records the video
camera timecode in the file. There are other timecode options
available, refer to TIME CODE EXT, REC RUN, FREE RUN, REGEN
If I set it the standard way the TC does not advance in the camera. So if I set it on hr. 1 it will be reflected in the FS-100, but will not advance when I hit record on the camera.
I seriously am going to throw this at someone's head. I've been getting the runaround for a month.
SO FS-100 users - ARE you able to get advancing TC in the camera and have it reflected in the FS-100?
thanks
pierre
