FS-100 crapped out on Shoot !!!!!

Has anyone done what I've done?

Arrive at the shoot and tell the producer with a straight face: You know what? I didn't bring any tapes...

There's a shocked expression for a few seconds before they realize that there will never be any tapes!

Had the same fun when still cameras went digital: Arrive at the scene (as a newspaper photographer) and tell the reporter that I had no film.

A word of warning -- you have to know the producer for a while before pulling this stunt!

When I use to shoot news my reporter and I arrived on location and I said :
I don't have a camera...
The look on her face was that of a deer in the headlights look.
The joke wasn't very funny because I really didn't have a camera
I forgot to put it in the truck...
I had to drive all the way back with my ego between my legs....
It's funny now,,,

We've had the No Disc Detected a few times. Usually just shutting it down cures it. Once, though, I tried that about 6 times with no luck still. I don't know that I didn't anything except change batteries, AC, etc and it finally came back.
