FS-100 battery charging issues

I was just wondering if anyone else had issues with the battery to their Firestore FS-100 when they got it out of the box. Mine doesn't seem to be charging and the battery is pretty tight. It is very hard to get it in and pull it off the unit. It's seem the battery is just a little too large or something. I've read the instructions and contacted support. Anyone else have problems?

There were some issues with the design of the batteries connector's, the little metal pins which stick out from the back of the FS-100. I heard that there were so many complaints and people breaking these that they redesigned this part and the newest ones have a safer design. However not actually heard from anyone with one of these supposed newer models yet.

I have one of the early ones and it scares the life out of my trying to get that battery off. I can see it would be very, very easy to break the connectors and like you its damn hard to even get the thing off.

Not sure about the charging issue, perhaps the pins on yours are already damaged. Have you ever managed to get the battery off?

Well Monica Hernandez in Customer Advocacy/Admin at Focus Encancements has been very helpful in helping me resolve this issues as well as my own process of getting a cradle for the FS-100 so i can have a place to mount it on my DVRigPro! I'm using the FS-4 cradle which can be found here:

I'm actually going down to their offices tomorrow! I'll let you know tomorrow if this was easily resolved.

Well all is well with the battery. At least I think it is. I went down to Focus and they replaced it and everything seems to be working. I'll know for sure once it charges.
