Fruity Loops music program and Final Cut

I'm planning to get the fruity loops program for my PC, I would like to know if I can still use those files with Final cut. If I make a song with fruity loops on my PC...can I use the file on a MAC with final cut? Thanks...

If you can save it to a compatible format you can. AIFF 16/48 is best. But I just checked the web site, it only saves out to MP3 or WAV. You'd have to convert either of those to AIFF 16/48 to use it in FCP. QuickTime Pro can do that with the MP3, but if it's WAV, you'll need the Flip4Mac plug-in I believe.

Is there a problem with 48khz waws?

I haven't seen that.

That said, Soundtrack is also a loop oriented program, have you checked it out?

(who haven't tested fruityloops but have read that Soundtrack sorta compares to Acid)

The problem with WAV files, is that they're not really what FCP deals with. FCP really is a QuickTime based app. Converting to a QT AIFF file will save you a ton of possible hiccups and rendering time.

I'd also ask what you plan to do with FL, as STP has a lot of nice features. It's not the old SoundTrack anymore, it's Pro, and more powerful than most folks realize.
