I hadn't watched the siren scene from O Brother in awhile, great to see it again with a bit of explanation from Deakins
 
Man... I can respect that he's so talented and makes really good judgement calls, but what I really like about Deakins is that he is always so modest and frank about his work and the way he talks to people who are interested in his work. He really seems as a person I would sit and enjoy a quite evening with talking about all and nothing.

On the work related side... give the man an Oscar this year! :D He really does deserve it for everything he's done for cinematography.
 
I completely agree!

I love how active/open he is on his forums and just in general. He seems like a guy who just gets it/loves it/lives it.

Really cool to see.
