Hi
There is a long thread here
http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?118249-Can-you-use-Photoshop-to-color-correct-video
but not until the end (post 38) does it get interesting, pointing to Rich Harringtons excellent tutorial on using PS for secondary color correction, using lab mode in conjunction with an adjustment layer
It seems to me that there are a lot more advantages than disadvantages in this workflow.
Has anyone used something similar, where ALL primary and secondary correction is done in Photoshop?
I suppose one disadvantage is that you might lose a slight bit of quality since you end up rendering twice, once on export from Photoshop, and once more when you render from Premiere.
If you are just using RGB curves and not converting to lab mode, I think you can avoid this extra render by simply exporting the RGB curve data from within photoshop, then loading and applying this to an exported After Effects composition from Premiere.
