From Mac to PC and back

Ok, so I'm editting in FCP6, but my stuff is noisy and I'm dying to try NeatVideo.

I'm running parallels and XP on the same machine, and am sharing all the files.

The problem is, I cant seem to export a high quality (or even uncompressed) AVI or any file type from FCP or Mpegstreamclip that VirtualDub can recognize.

Is there a recommended filetype or codec that's good for this kind of intermediate?

I don't know the answer, but I will venture a suggestion since no one else has: Maybe QuickTime with Photojpeg compression at a high quality value like 95%.

Jpeg2000 at 100 Quality would be better because its a wavelet codec, and it will be visually losless.

As long as you dont have any graphics or gradients prominent in your footage any 8-bit interpretation is fine. Just stay away from HDV, DVCproHD, or ProRes since those Quicktime Codecs aren't supported on the PC.

If you have the space you can also go APPLE - NONE, which is complete lossless, but you'll find the JPEG2000 Codec at 100 quality will serve the purpose.

Also, bug the developer of Neat Video to make a Mac plugin, enough people bugging will get them to write the software for your platform.
