From 550D/T2i to Bluray via Vegas 9 and DVDA

Hey all,

I'm in PAL land and have shot a bunch of footage on 25P mode on my 550D, edited on Vegas 9, rendered to AVi Cineform codec and put in DVDA as a bluray, but to my horror i realised Bluray doesn't support 25P.

I selected the 25i setting in DVDA and left it to render (7 hours on a quadcore machine?!)

Well the results look horrid. Looks like some kind of interlace problem

So my question is, how do i get my 25P footage to bluray looking nice.

Also, should i now start shooting 24P on the 550D to save all this heartache?

Is it a major problem if you slow it down to 24P? They used to take the 24 fps movies and run them at 25 fps for PAL land, you get a small pitch shift but that's it. I imagine it would work similarly in reverse.

It wouldn't be a problem i don't think, i assume i change the Vegas project to 24P and then render 24P from Vegas using AVC?
