fresnels

Charli

cool little "title"
Okay, I've read where a 150 Fresnel is great to have. I know others have
300 and 600. Let's say we are starting with a BASIC kit. Which fresnel is
best to have as your first and only fresnel to begin with, meaning, I won't
buy another for awhile.

Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.
Oh, and primarily to use to shoot short films.

I'd say a 650 would be a great first choice. You can always scrim or lamp it down if it's too much for a particular scene.

Ok, a good company to go with, Arri, photoflex, smith & victor, lowel etc...? Thanks, I'm in th same boat..

Charli, all good suggestions. I too would reccomend the 650. Make sure it comes with the scrims and barndoors...Good Luck.

Goood choice, Charli!! I wish my first light purchase has been a fresnel. You are doing things the smart way and will be happier in the end that you don't have a closet or garage full of work lights or cheapo lights that don't get the job done.
