Fresnel glass for $1.99, is it any good?

Good question. There may be some extra uv protection in a professional fresnel lens but i doubt there is much other difference. What I've found is that the fresnel is not as precision an instrument as a spot or par which have more complicated lenses and mirror arrangements. Be sure to post and let us see your work when you're done. What will you use as a housing?
