Frequency Range Explanation

Shopping for wireless lav mic set-up and find that the Sennheisers (looking on BH and EVS) there are 3 choices.

A, B, and C Frequencies

A - 515 - 550MHz
B - 630 - 662MHz
C - 740 - 772MHz

what are the differences? Is one better in certain situations?
And also what are the real differences in models 512 and 522?

Look for the frequency range with the least interference in your area. I also like the info available on the Lectrosonics site because it gives the distance and bearing of local stations.

Thanks for that information. Interesting. At first read it seems limiting, as far as where you can use it if a gig calls for use outside the 75 mile radius. But then again 75 miles is pretty big and why would i want to spend the gas to a gig that far? Unless it pays well or they pay for my gas.
