Frequencies in Africa

I am going to africa this summer to shoot video, and I want to be able to use my sennheiser g3 wireless system, will this be a problem?

The continent of Africa is larger than North America or Europe and contains 62 political jurisdictions.
Perhaps you meant to ask for specific areas where you will be going.
Perhaps you meant to include the frequency block(s) of your equipment.

My mistake.. Was in a rush when I posted this topic. We will be in Uganda (not sure specifically where in Uganda), and I am not totally sure which sennheiser pack I have to be honest. I've had it for a while now. How do I check?

The operating frequencies are listed on the nameplate of the transmitter(s) and receiver(s).
Are you going to be urban areas (like Kampala, etc.) out in the "bush"?

Excellent, I will check on those, excuse my ignorance on how to find them. I don't totally know where in Uganda we are going, as I am not in charge of the trip, I still need to talk with the guy heading up everything.

I live in Uganda most of the time. Let me know if you need any specific info.
Wireless systems can be a problem around military areas.
Generally people use PAL video systems, and wireless systems from Europe (not sure if these use different frequencies from wireless systems in the US). Let me know what the bands are of your system and I can check it against some others here (I don't use them myself).

So I have the band B G3 series (626-668). We are going to be staying at the Restoration Gateway compound in Uganda, and traveling to the villages and such occasionally (although not at night). It would be a huge help if you could check!

Matt, sorry I did not get back to you earlier. My usual sound-guy is away at the moment and I can't get in touch with him. I spoke to another sound-guy, and he said that he has used wireless mics that were bought both in the US and in the UK, and he did not have any issues with them. He says he has them set at 588.32mhz & 894.56mhz at the moment (sorry its all Greek to me).
If you need any (non-audio related!) advice on anything in Uganda let me know.
