Freeze Frame

Is there a way to freeze a frame in Premiere without exporting the frame you want to hold on and saving it as an image (only to import it back into the timeline)? Seems like you should be able to hold on a particular frame. Any ideas?

You can right click on the new clip for the frame hold option box - I believe.

Yes.... When you got to export, instead of exporting to movie, export to clip.....name it and save

I feel like an idiot. It was "right" there, the whole time. "Right click" and WALLA! "Frame Hold."

Thank you Cpt. Shiner, Shooter, and D.O.C. I should have been able to figure this one out on my own but I got lazy and stupid. Sorry.

in most of cases (esp when shooting interlaced) you will also have to flag the 'deinterlace' check
