freeze frame & zoom

Is it possible to create a decent zoom-in on a freeze frame, given that it's only 72dpi? Suggestions appreciated!

You can zoom in to a degree. Eventually it's going to look pixelated depending on how close you're trying to get. You could try adding a touch of Gaussian Blur to smooth it out if necessary.

...and you perform the zoom on a still image by keyframing the scale??? This is something I have been wanting to know but never tried. I see it done all the time on the nightly news and entertainment news shows.

Shooter, here's an old tutorial, but I think the principles are still valid. It's based on a higher-res photo, not a video still.
