Freeze frame help

How do you go about making a good looking freeze frame in FCP 4? I clicked on 'Make freeze frame' or something like that, but my clip is kinda shaky. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, if the clip is shaky, that's really not a problem FCP can overcome. If you can't find a frame that is clear, you'll just have to re-shoot or not use it.

If there is some movement in your shot, try first to put the video filter De-Interlaced, render and then make your Still Image or freeze frame.

Also another way to get a nice freeze frame is to export the frame as a tiff than imoport it back in. Higher quality image to work with than FCP freeze frame.

You need to find or play around with the video to find a good point where to make a freeze frame. I have done several freeze frames in the last few months and they have all looked good.
