Hey so I'm currently in preproduction for a short where i would like to introduce the characters in a freeze frame and have a title come in behind him sort of like the viva la bam intro video:

but a lot less complicated. Basically I want maybe a green or red shape like the ones might see in old comic books behind a "pow!" or "bam!" with perhaps a shaded background to add more emphasis.

I have FCP and i downloaded motion and Adobe After Effects but i dont really know how to use them.

When you say you've "downloaded Motion" are you aware you are openly admitting to piracy on a public forum where we have your ip address and everything? Please stay right there, just need to make a phone call....
