Freefly Movi MR Clips

I am not familiar with this type of equipment or shooting, but I cannot say I like the footage. Two things are especially troubling - kind of wobbling, see for example 0:11 - 0:13 front of the building it's very prominent. I do not think it can be removed in post. Secondly, very end, around 1:08 - 1:11, very visible micro vibration. Again, this cannot be removed in post as far as I know. These are just two examples.

I am very much interested in Freefly Movi, but this footage is a bit disturbing, at least to my taste. Is it because of weather conditions?

The whole point of this post is to show somewhat respectable footage is possible in very poor conditions with a very quick stab at settings. First, most wouldn't fly this type of equipment in rain or snow. Second, most don't fly a 50mm or longer lens in windy conditions at 24 fps. Most don't fly in really cold conditions because all the vibration dampening becomes as hard as a rock and ineffective. This was a quick and dirty guess at settings that were far from optimized. It's very common to see footage in perfect conditions that is post stabilized but not so much like this. All the unwanted movements could be easily removed in post as I have done much worse but the point of this equipment, which it does an amazing job at when tuned well, is to not need to.

As a frame of reference, all of the footage on the reel below was shot on the old style "servo driven" camera mounts and Warp stabilized in CS6. Several of the clips were rougher than those in the Movi video.

We are not having any trouble getting excellent footage from the Movi in good conditions, which is what most only tend to show. Personally I like to see equipment being used in less than ideal situations. Also, using this technology handheld is an order of magnitude easier than putting it on an aerial rig for many, many reasons.
