Freefly EMBER slow mo camera (4K 800fps)

[ahalpert]

Looks like it's $18K, shoots 4K 800fps or 5K 600fps in ProRes (but no log profile at the moment?) to 4TB of internal storage.

Non-electronic locking E mount, S35 sensor native ISO 300 and 11 stops DR

Saw that yesterday. Lotsa gotchas for $18K, including non-removable media and no SDI out.

Mixed feelings about this release. Prores sounds nice, as do the frame rates, and the new body style. But if the awful DR and color are anything like the wave, I'm out(spoiler alert it's listed as the same 11stops and it's "rec709 only"). I own a wave and it had a ton of potential but it was a bit of a disappointment. Recently saw a list of updates/features they promised for the wave but never delivered so, sadly, my guess is this will be the same thing. I'd love to be proven wrong though...
