Freecom external or Western Digital?

I am not sure whether to go for a 1tb Freecom classic external hard drive, or the 1tb Western Digital My Book.

Both companies have good reputations, and I have been using a 500gb Freecom for 2 years with no problems, but I can get 3tb of Western Digitals for the price of 2tb of Freecom.

Good experiences or bad with either?
Advice?

Personally, I use 3x 1TB Western Digital My Book's for all of my storage (and even editing) needs. Typically I will dump straight from our HPX500's to the drives. I even edit straight off the drives with no problems. I have ALWAYS used Western Digital Drives for everything and have never had one fail on me, knock on wood. And they are on 24/7, so to me, that says a lot. But then again, I do hear most drives that fail are when they are turned on and off all the time.

One note though, as soon as I got the drives, I quickly wiped the drives and formatted them NTFS. Kind of a long process for a 1TB drive with a full format, but I believe the WD My Books come formatted FAT32 for PC/Mac Compatibility, which limits file sizes to 4GB.
