Free Web Video Distribution for your work - Veoh.com

[chrislaing]

We could all use a little free exposure of our work. A nifty start-up in San Diego is offering the FREE equivalent of a 2-way iTunes for your videos. You can now UPLOAD your videos to what is becoming an increasingly populasr site.

Check out:

http://www.veoh.com

While you're there, please search for "Amoroso Place" or visit our own site at:

Veoh.com could do for videos what iTunes did for music. This is not intended to be a commercial plug for Veoh, as nobody is making money on the site....yet.

Hope this helps any and all who are interested.

Interesting, the internet video revolution is heating up.

Found this in there "terms of use" you can not:

"12. Post, store, send, transmit, or disseminate any information or material which a reasonable person could deem to be objectionable, offensive, indecent, pornographic, harassing, threatening, embarrassing, distressing, vulgar, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or otherwise inappropriate, regardless of whether this material or its dissemination is unlawful."

Wow, that is pretty broad don't you think.

I'm sure they want to avoid being a portal for all the porn merchants. I like their CEO. He seems very smart and personable.

I believe their intention is to enable you to charge for downloads of your work one day...similar to iTunes.

Since Veoh uses peer to peer networking, does this mean that if you're a member, then you're running a server program in the background? I'm just concerned that it may use up some processor bandwidth.
