I've signed up for it numerous times and they have yet to send me one.

Just lucky, I guess.  Maybe it's karmic balance for never having had a virus or a crash on a PC and having no dropout or cadence problems with the JVC SR-VS30U . . . which everyone seems to think I should be having . . .

They never responded to me either--maybe they run the mag like 2-POP ;).

yep signed up for a free year and got the mag in the first month. still getting them! maybe because i live a town away from where they press the magazine.

I think that was the one with the Miss Harvester Centerfold...they had to pull it at the border...I understand it transcended good taste.

I almost finished filling it out and stopped myself... there just seems to be something fishy about getting something for nothing. Why US residents only? Could be that they can't send junkmail to other countries.

It's a legit mag that costs $6 in the stores. It's fairly good mag, too, with such regulars as Adam Wilt. Lots of mags go out for free to pros in the business. I don't see any strings attached here, or anything sinister -- but then, as I said above, no matter how many times I've filled out the form, I haven't gotten the magazine.

But nothing else happened. I wasn't deluged with junk mail or spam because I filled out the form. You've got nothing to lose, but you might not get the magazine, for whatever reason. But then, you won't have spent any money on it, either.

Its funny.. they send it to me, along with some other CMP mags

Yup, I get most every trade mag under the sun too but haven't been able to get the DV freebie for years.
