Hi All,

I just wanted to share this with all of you.I heard today from a reputed Audio company that Rode is going to give Rode Blimp free with every purchase of Rode NTG3.
Did anyone else hear that? When I googled it,performanceaudio.com had the same list on sale.Never bought anything from them so not sure if they are good enough to believe.
Anyways the person who told me works at a reputed audio shop (the one which was recommended in this forum by many).Just don't want to mention the name , just in case if there are any changes ,it might hurt their reputation.

Thanks
Jay

Hi Matt,
How are Performaceaudio guys?Hows the Customer Service?Did you get any discounts or was it just what you see on the net?

PA was great to work with.

Great CS, and I just got the discount for the Blimp, which is a screaming deal.

Very satisfied.

It's not happening at B&H. Just the mic alone for 700.

I did see that the mic was selling for 550.00 about 6 weeks ago. I think 700.00 is a hyped price anyway. I bet the price will drop again and stabilize to be around 550.00 for good. Though I have seen rode mics go up before. Originally the NT3 (not NTG-3) was going for 185.00 - 200.00 for a year or 2. Then it moved up to it's current price of 269.00 and stayed.

I plan on getting the NTG-3 and blimp myself. I just purchased the Sennheiser G3 ENG wireless package, so I have to save up funds. I have had my eye on the DV Store NTG-3 package here with the mic, the blimp, and a wired boom pole for 1,000.00. It seems like standard pricing with a free 100.00 boom pole thrown in.

The Rode NTG-3 is selling for $999.00 to $1,179.00 in Canada.

I'll wait a few more weeks for our dollar to go up past the U.S. dollar like it did 2 years ago, then grab the mic from the U.S. I purchased some of my lights from the U.S. 2 years ago for around $700.00. Those lights would have cost me $2,400.00 over here.

Crazy really. I order quite a bit of stuff from B&H
