I've been promising footage of CF1le, and CF3le used in the same production ofr quite a while now. A few months ago we approached Piotr Skowronski, (our first local customer) to put together some footage showcasing the Brevis, with CF1Le, and CF3Le used, as well as field trialling some of our dolly changes. Piotr went way, way beyond the call of duty coming up with a script, organizing a crew of 13, lights etc. etc. and making sure it all got done in one day, albeit a long one at 14 hours. The HVX was used, and all shots were done with Canon FD lenses, f2.8 28mm, f1.4 50mm, f1.8 85mm, and f2.8 135mm. Cf1le and CF3le were field swapped on the kitchen table, but CF1le was used primarily for it's light efficiency properties. The apartment was typical of old ones with respect to wiring...so adding a whole lot of light was an issue.
We had the cast/crew over last night at the Cinevate digs for a great screening party, and of course encoded a version for your viewing pleasure. Many thanks to the entire crew!
Note that one shot is there twice...done once with CF1Le, and then with CF3Le so you could see the difference. At 0:32, CF3Le is used, and at 3:08, CF1le. All the kitchen shots were done with CF3Le, including the tea stirring frames.
This is a 106mb quicktime file at 720p. We'll encode a higher res version later this week.
