Our May New York event will be AbelCine NY EXPO: Lightweight PL Zooms.
Shooting in 35mm PL format used to mean either primes lenses or large, cumbersome zooms. Changing production needs have led manufacturers to new lens designs. Now there are a variety of lightweight, hand-holdable zoom lenses. Different lens designs offer various focal ranges with certain looks and other features. There are a lot of statistics available to research but the only way to really appreciate a lens is to see how it looks and feels in person.
AbelCine NY EXPO: Lightweight PL Zooms is scheduled for 6pm-9pm, May 23rd in our New York facility. Participating manufacturers include Angenieux, ARRI, Canon, Fujinon and Zeiss. There will be live demonstrations, lenses mounted to a variety of cameras, comparative presentations, and hands-on time for attendees.
The entire AbelCine NY EXPO will be available for live viewing over the Internet via Livestream and will also be archived for later viewing.
