I just got it and i used with a 50mm 2.3 lense....and the image is so narrowed. It's like only the middle can be seen and the rest is dark. What's going on...

I take it you didn't read the M2 calibration instructions.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

You need to zoom in...

So if I want to zoom out for a wider shot that's not a possibility? I did read...LOL

Say goodbye to zooming in and out for shots. It's over. With the m2 and any adapter for that matter, or to the best of my knowledge you will need to calibrate you your zoom and leave it. With the M2 I believe you will have to oyu zoom to around Z88 to Z90 if I am not mistaken for the dvx100b, and A.

ive read that 24-28mm lenses will do the trick i get mine tommorrow so ill let you know.

I work at a newspaper and a photographer at work just lent me a 24mm 1:2....yay!

Yeah, you're going to want to build a collection of lenses. I have a 28, 35, 50, 105 and 80-200 zoom. If you go with zooms, you really need to spend the money on good ones as the cheaper versions are too slow for use with an adapter unless you're always shooting outside.

They also look backwards when i transfer to final cut....the images look great tho, they look so LKE FILM but they're backwards. Now I'm freaking OUT.

you really need to read up on these things before you buy them.
The letus flip is the only adapter right now that will flip the image for you.

But you lose 2stop of light with it

I figured out we gotta do a 180. This adapter came with an installation thing NOT A MANUAL on what happens when it goes on and so on.

you really should have done your research before you made such an investment. I love my M2 even with a 50mm lens. it just takes some practice. Now you can actually prove you know how to frame a shot since zoom is no longer an option. before you know it, you'll have nothing but positive things to say about the adapter.

I know that now, thanks. I still need to get a good monitor. I'm learning as I go...hmmm prob not a good idea.
