Not sure where the best area to put this is.

Any Directors or Writers using Frameforge to storyboard their short/long projects? I'm considering using it.

I've used it. It's very good IMO. You can put in the exact dimensions of the location and you can even put in the specific camera/lenses that you will be using, plus jibs, track etc. That way the program will actually prevent you from doing anything that is physically impossible.

You can even put in the height of the different actors for the models, so the shots can be very well planned.

It's fairly easy to use. Just follow the manual and you'll have no troubles.

It's got two particular strengths. It's very good for looking at the set and deciding how to dress it...making you realise what else you'll need to fill the screen and where everything should go...and also for allowing you to look at the scene from every different angle so you can find more interesting ways of telling the story.

Only con is that it probably lacks the style and ambience of trad. storyboarding...it's more functional than artistic...although that might be less of a problem in more sophisticated hands than mine...I'm sure I don't use it to its fullest potential.

You can download a trial version which is fully operational (it's got limited props and watermarks on printouts). See for yourself.
