FrameForge Studio 3D

I really am liking this software so far. It is really intuitive.

I was just screwing around but was doing that one scene from 'Shaun' (See reference photo; which is 1:85:1 and NOT 2:40.1

Any other softwares out there you guys can testify too? (No Rich; not the crazy manicness that is XSi) ! :cheesy:

dude rich, that's pretty damn impressive! Where he heck did you get the transforming sound? I hope they don't phuck up the Transformer movie. I've always been a huge fan when i was a kid and still is.

wow, that's really cool rich!

John, good stuff. I played with FF studio for a while a really liked it too but I just resorted to stick figures eventually.

LOVE frameforge - A little clunky but once you get flowing it rocks.

Naturally the real 3d folks will find it primitive, but great for normal folks...

Anyone know of a program that's similar to FrameForge but cheaper? I want cleaner and more accurate boards, but $300 is more than I'm willing to spend just now...

my problem with frameforge is that once you started putting a lot of elements up, it took too much time to render. have they figured that out yet?

Unfortunately I think that's pretty much it - They corner the market for drag and drop. You could use cheaper 3d graphic programs I guess but tons of more work. This is set up for storyboards.

Depends on how long ago you tried it. They have massively improved speed in latest version. If you have 100 objects in the scene it may be over kill. [I know, I've gone overboard myself] The storyboard is not meant to be photo realistic with props...

Good stuff John. I like Frame Forge, but just haven't managed to drop down the cash for the software yet. I have been using the demo and just doing screen grabs and dropping them into photoshop so I don't get the watermark with exporting.

It does take a little while, but I like being able to drop 5 cameras into a scene and seeing all the angles that I want to try to shoot it from .

My question is if Rich direct's, how many screaming demons are gonna be in that project?

If I remember correctly in the demo you can "edit in paint program" from "shot manager" without water mark. If you set photoshop as your paint program once it's in photoshop you can just "save as"

Kind of a little cheat around the water mark - You can blast through the whole storyboard in a flash!

Would be quicker then screenshots and better quality...

Looks like I'm not the only one trying to work around the limits of the demo, huh? I wish there were more models available in it, but I just haven't played around with it enough yet.

Ultimately I think I'm going to purchase it just to have all the models available, but as of right now, I have been impressed with the demo.

I've been messing with the demo and I've discovered that it's perfect for assisting me with drawing by hand. I can setup the shots and then use the 3D picture to help with perspective, scale, and other aspects of drawing, since I suck at it.

I have since got the full version - Tons more models and you can import most simple 3d models to use.

Hey Dakota?

How do I get actors IN THE CARS?

If the car can be sit in, not all can, just push the actor towards the drivers door and he should jump right in.

Picture Vehicles work - Prop Vehicles don't
