Framedrops when capturing!!

I have had my DVX-100 for less than a year, and I been having problems with frames being dropped while capturing to FCP. I cant tell when the problem started. At first I thought it was the computer I used because footage shot with my camera captured without problems on a friends computer.
Now I have had the same problem again when capturing to a different computer so it has to be the camera and since it is still under warranty I should have that checked out!
If anyone knows of anything else that might be causing it please let me know...
I have been capturing the footage to different G4 Mac's, and used both my camera and DV-decks as capture device...same problems  So I am using non-controllable device, but batch capture is alot easier

Re: Framedrops when capturing!!

Are you saving to a fast Internal drive or to a firewire?
If you're going to a firewire drive then you may get dropped frames, especially on slower machines.
Try saving the same clip to the internal drive and see if it happens as well.
Quit all other apps and try to remove any added software that may be running and slowing down your system.
Are you doing pulldown removal or just pure capture?
