24pA Footage
0 and 5 frame to start capture
(the A frame for 2:3:3:2 pulldown)

randomly(?) getting "stuttering" footage on playback, however, when looking at the footage frame by frame the problem appears to have happened in capture/digitize. It is every _fourth_ frame.

first thought was the footage was shot standard 3:2 / 29.97 and when applying the advanced pull-down, we are creating an artifact/stutter, so we:

rechecked tapes, they are 24pA
rechecked machine, we captured w/ advanced pull-down detect
timeline/sequence edit base is 23.98

any clue?

Re: Frame "Stuttering"

Have you checked your playback controls? Under System Settings>Playback Control. Make sure your pulldown pattern is set to 2:3:2:3 not 2:3:3:2. beyond that i'm not sure.

Re: Frame "Stuttering"

yeah...

we've been using the following playback settings:

unlimited rt
high
2:3:3:2 pull-down

Anyone think it migh be a processor speed issue?

I'm using a dual800 G4?
